Biography: Mike has over 34 years experience, both as a private practitioner and as in-house counsel for a national title insurer. In those roles, he has handled a wide assortment of legal matters including, but not limited to, complex real estate, business and financial transactions; negotiation and drafting of residential and commercial leases and purchase agreements; representation of clients in zoning, environmental regulatory and permitting cases; and analysis and resolution of title issues and underwriting of title insurance for multi-million dollar residential and commercial properties. As a lifelong resident of coastal North Carolina, he is also well versed in ownership and regulatory issues peculiar to coastal properties. In addition to his experience as an attorney, he has served as an adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and their two golden retrievers, fishing, golfing, and sporting events. | |||
